** memo : Preparation of medium: Add components, except acid and thioglycollic acid to deionized or distilled water and bring volume to 1.0L. Adjust the pH to 7.0-7.5. Thioglycollate and ascorbate should be added immediately prior to sterilization. Distribute into tubes or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15psi pressure-121C.
This medium may be cloudy after sterilization and turns black as a result of H_2_S production due to bacterial growth.
