Introduction

Dear ACM members,

The Korean Collection for Type Cultures (KCTC) is pleased to announce that the 9th International Training Course on Microbial Taxonomy will be held from Oct. 16 to Nov. 12, 2019

We would like to invite four scientists for the six-week training course. KCTC will provide accommodations, meals during weekdays, all lab expenses and monetary incentive.

In Brief * KCTC provides the participants with the training course of microbial taxonomy. * KCTC highly recommends the participant to bring his/her own isolate(s) with a new taxonomic position and to contact the KCTC supervisor before the training course to prepare the reference strains.
Up to four persons * Up to four persons who obtain an official recommendation from ACM delegate of each country * One participant per one country
Training period * Four weeks (Oct. 16 to Nov. 12, 2019)
KCTC provides * Accommodation and meal (Except weekends) * All lab expenses * A half incentive to each trainee
Sending party provides * Travel cost * The half of incentive
Training program * Cultivation and preservation skills, phylogenetic analysis, physiological characterization, and chemotaxonomy * Research teams in KCTC teach the techniques in personal basis
