The biological resources preserved at KCTC for research purposes in biotechnology and relevant industries may be supplied
on order. The one who wants to order must have appropriate knowledge about the culture and storage of the required strain
as well as facilities needed for handling the strain. The biological resources are not supplied to an individual for safety
regen, except for some special cases.
How to order General Microorganisms
Types of Distribution
After receiving the fee payment, most of the microorganism strains are supplied in freeze-dried form in an encapsulated
pyrex ampoule. The microorganisms should be requested for distribution by the day before the day of delivery. The orders
are sent every Monday and Thursday. Some microorganisms are supplied in an activated form (plate or slant culture) or
in a frozen form (vial). An active culture requires one or two weeks of culture period following a distribution request.
* Please create a new account, submit an order request, and agree to MTA.
When the MTA is concluded and payment is received, KCTC will distribute the culture(s).

Notes
The strain that you are supplied with should not be re-supplied to a third party.
For ampules or activated cultures, store the supplied biological resource in a refrigerator at 4℃. Before activation of animal cell lines, store the supplied biological resource in a liquid nitrogen tank. The survival test should be performed as early as possible after receiving the supplied biological resource. Re-distribution is not allowed after 30 days from the date of distribution.
To share the research results obtained by using the strain supplied by the KCTC, please give us the information about your research results, such as abstract or a copy of the article, patent application number, publication number, and international application number. The information will be provided to the microorganism KCTC or the microorganism strain database and added to the KCTC resources database.
