** ph : 4.0

** memo : Adjust pH to 4.0 with 10N H_2_SO_4_. For solid medium, make up above solution in double strength and adjust pH to 3.5. Make water agar at 40 g/L. Autoclave separately. Cool to about 50°C and mix equal volumes of both solutions aseptically. This procedure avoids acid hydrolysis of the agar.
